Built by a Dreamer, for Dreamers

ShaSpace Initiative started with one person, one rocket, and a belief that every kid in Southern California deserves to experience the thrill of launch day.

Our Story

ShaSpace Initiative was founded in Southern California with a simple mission: make rocketry accessible to every child, regardless of background or zip code. What started as a small community launch event has grown into a full-scale youth rocketry organization serving hundreds of kids across the region.

We partner with local schools, Parks & Recreation departments, and community organizations to bring the wonder of rocketry to kids ages 6–18. Our programs are designed to build not just rockets — but confidence, curiosity, and a love of science that lasts a lifetime.

Every launch day, every camp session, every classroom workshop is a chance to show a child that the sky is not the limit — it's just the beginning.

Meet the Founder

Shaheen Mirsoltani-Alamilla

Founder & President

Shaheen Mirsoltani-Alamilla founded ShaSpace Initiative in 2026 with a single conviction: every child deserves a chance to watch something they built streak across the sky. Growing up fascinated by space exploration, he saw firsthand how few pathways existed for young people — especially in underserved communities — to experience the thrill of hands-on rocketry.

With a background in STEM education and community volunteering, Shaheen set out to build more than a club. ShaSpace is designed from the ground up to be accessible, safety-first, and deeply rooted in the neighborhoods it serves across Southern California. From Title I school partnerships to NAR-mentored launch days, every program reflects his belief that aerospace is for everyone.

Shaheen is a proud member of the National Association of Rocketry (NAR), the world's largest sport rocketry organization, whose safety codes and certification standards guide every ShaSpace launch event.

Shaheen leads all programming, partnerships, and operations for ShaSpace Initiative and is the primary point of contact for schools, sponsors, and families looking to get involved.
